Merrion 6th beat Bagnalstown 1sts in the Junior Cup Final. Bagnalstown had beaten an All Ireland Touring 11, the Leprechauns, the previous weekend by a large score. Bagnalstown also went on to win their league by a significant margin that year (3 leagues above the Merrion 6th team).
